Hi all,
I'm sorry, but I too am getting this:
OS :: Required: Windows(R) :: Found: Win XP [PROBLEM]
"OS" Problem causes all kind of errors with most output containers/codecs Could be due to a slow PC, very low available RAM or require Rebooting.
It happened after I applied SP3 to XP.
If I ignore the warning, then some files will convert, but others will not.
This MAY be a seperate problem however - I click on the files to to get the codec details and the ones that will not convert say this:
Format : Windows Media File size : 983 KiB PlayTime : 3mn 2s Bit rate mode : CBR Bit rate : 44 Kbps BitRate_Maximum : 48 Kbps Encoded date : UTC 2004-10-02 22:05:50.968 AspectRatioX : 1 AspectRatioY : 1
Video #0 Codec : WMV3 Codec/Info : Windows Media Video 9 Codec description : Windows Media Video 9 - PlayTime : 2mn 55s Bit rate mode : CBR Bit rate : 32 Kbps Width : 192 pixels Height : 144 pixels Display Aspect ratio : 4/3 Frame rate : 12.500 fps Resolution : 24 bits Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.093 Language : en-us DeviceConformanceTemplate : MP@LL
Audio #0 Codec : WMSpeech Codec description : Windows Media Audio 9 Voice - 10 kbps, 11 kHz, mono Bit rate mode : CBR Bit rate : 10000 bps Channel(s) : 1 channel Sampling rate : 11.025 KHz Language : en-us DeviceConformanceTemplate : S1
WHILE ALL THE ONES THAT WILL CONVERT SAY THIS:: Format : Windows Media File size : 2.89 MiB PlayTime : 34s 596ms Bit rate mode : VBR Bit rate : 702 Kbps BitRate_Maximum : 794 Kbps Encoded date : UTC 2005-01-27 01:36:56.637
Video #0 Codec : WMV2 Codec/Info : Windows Media Video 8 Codec description : Windows Media Video V8 - PlayTime : 34s 566ms Bit rate mode : VBR Bit rate : 739 Kbps Width : 320 pixels Height : 240 pixels Display Aspect ratio : 4/3 Frame rate : 30.000 fps Resolution : 24 bits Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.321 Language : en-au DeviceConformanceTemplate : @
Audio #0 Codec : WMA2 Codec/Info : Windows Media Audio 2 Codec description : Windows Media Audio 9.1 - 64 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo (A/V) 1-pass CBR Bit rate mode : CBR Bit rate : 64 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 44.1 KHz Language : en-au DeviceConformanceTemplate : L1
I also updated Windows Media Player at the same time, but cannot think why WMV2 will convert, while WMV3 won't. I have tried checking and unchecking Direct Show decode, but it makes no difference.
I would be most grateful for any help - The computer is a Dell Inspiron 9100, 3GHZ Intel, 3GB RAM (SUPER only reports 2GB, but the full 3GB is there and working) with 34GB free on c: drive
