Length of video is cut in half after conversion...HELP!

Hi. I'm converting 3g2 video to AVI. But if my original video is 36 seconds, after converting it, it's only 16 seconds. All the video is STILL THERE, nothing is missing, it's just sped up much faster so that 36 seconds is squeezed into 16.

I tried many, many different settings, with no progress. the only time I was able to convert the full 36 seconds was when i checked "DirecrShow Decode", but there is no sound if I check this option.

Thanks for any assistance!

Rich

Sure, what other details would you like?

To rephrase my problem, though, when I convert my video, it is like it's on fast forward. If my original video is 36 seconds long, the playback of the converted video will be 16 seconds long because the video is playing back faster. But the audio is still the same speed.

You have selected 25 fps for the output while your input file shows a minimum of 3.750 fps
the rendered video goes much faster than the input. You may want to select a lower fps (ie 4 or 5)
When you chose "DirectShow Decode" you only rely on your PC insatlled ActiveX filters,
it seems your PC has an ActiveX decoder for the MPEG4 video codec inside 3GP, but
not for the QCELP audio codec inside 3GP.
SUPER(C) renders what is available, in this case video only.
As no audio is available to synch with, the remaining video only has no constraint
in terms of time to speed ratio.

Re: Length of video is cut in half after conversion...HELP!

Thanks for your reply. I lowered my FPS to "4", but the video is still 16 minutes long. And the video itself is a lot choppier. Is there any other settings I should adjust in addition to the FPS?

Thanks again,
Richard
