hello,
Recently i have upgraded to lastest (build 32) version of this fantastic software, and try to convert video footage from Canon HF100 AVCHD camcorder to sequence of JPEGs.
Input file: 0000x.MTS, 25 fps progresive, 1440x1080, pixel aspect=1,33
SUPER Output settings:
Encoder: internal ffmpeg
Video Scale: No change
Frame Rate: 25
Bitrate: 29040 (maximum)
Hi Quality: ON
so, after this encoding I receive sequence of images where:
there are 3 consequtive frames, and 3rd frame is repeated for next 3 frames (frames that should be in this place seems to be overwriten, so sequence played back looks jerky) , and again there are 3 consequtive frames and last frame is repeated for next 3 frames, and so on.
I have receive same result with ffmpeg build I have downloaded separately.
Finally I try to convert this footage by setting SUPER Encoder to DirectShow then I receive:
every frame is repeated 3 times. After playing back this sequence there is a strobe effects and it seems like 8 fps footage insted of 25fps.
Please note that I have DirectShow codec which allows me playback *.MTS files in any DS-based player. This is MainConcept H.264 Decoder v.7.5.0.23862.
MTS' played back with any system player don't show any jerkiness or other bugs.
Even when I forward frame-by-frame in MediaPlayerClassic then there wasn't be any frame duplicates in source footage.
So there is a chance to fix this MTS files issue to convert it properly?
Or maybe some workaround?

Finally I return Canon HF100 to store, because image quality was horrible (shearing due to rolling shutter, and chrominance ghosting on following frames). So I don't investigate this problem more.

I see, that's too bad. I am using a sony hdr-sr12 with the same sort of image doubling issue. I can't seem to get it to work. No shearing at least or any of the issues you described. It's been a fairly good camera, just a little hard to work with in the software support area. Getting better but....
If anyone out there has an answer to this one I would really appreciate it.
