Which is the correct procedure to burn a DVD from an AVI file?

I've been reading lots of comments to do this process but which is the chosen one for most of you guys?

What I usually do is this:

1. I edit using adobe premiere.

2. I export my time line to movie, it brings me a heavy AVI FILE.

3. I use SUPER to convert the file to MPEg-2

4. I burn a DVD using NERO.

Now tell me:  ¿How do you usually do this processs?

I would like to improve it and get as much quality as I can.

Thanks in advance to everybody which happens to take part in this TOPIC.

Re: Which is the correct procedure to burn a DVD from an AVI file?

I've already read the FAQ section friends.

But I still would like to read experiences that you've had while experimenting with settings on SUPER.

I have a new question:

Which do you think is the best process to get as much quality as possible when working with AVI fiiles:

Number 1:

Convert my AVI files into MPEG-2 and then burn it to DVD format using another software.

OR

Number 2:

Convert my files into a VOB file and then burn them using some software.

This question may sound stupid but believe me I need your help and totally new in video conversion.

Thanks to everybody.
