Build 32 - How to leave out subtitles when converting from mkv?

I'm using Super build 32 to convert some mkv files to mp4 for iPhone use. The mkv files contain Japanese audio, English audio, and English subtitles. I can select the English audio track, but I am getting my mp4 rendered with the English subtitles also - which I obviously don't need.

Is there any way to tell Super to not encode the subtitles into the result? If not in the gui, is there a setting in the profile file?

Re: Build 32 - How to leave out subtitles when converting from mkv?

I have the same interest of wanting to disable the subtitles on ver. 32 when converting from videos with matroska. All my conversions since version 32 of SUPER has auto subtitling when the matroska files have subtitles included.

Hopefully, help can be found on how to manually turn off conversions with subtitles when we don't want subtitles to appear in the finished video files. Thanks in advance for whatever help can be provided.

Re: Build 32 - How to leave out subtitles when converting from mkv?

I would like to see subtitle suppression as an option in a future revision too.

For MKV files, I use MKVmerge (part of MKVToolnix) to strip out subtitle streams (along with unwanted audio channels) and reassemble as a new MKV.  It'll get you out of trouble for now.

Hope this helps smiley-smile

Hi Wierdo,

Thanks for the tip! An added step but it will get me what I want.
