Hi, I have 2 computers running Super(c)
#1 with March 22 2008 Ver
#2 with July Ver
I have use sucesfully on PC#1 many many time conversion of AVI file to MPEG-4 DIVX file
I use SUPER to converter all the XVID TV show that are not running correctly on my DVD DIVX Player for my TV and SUPER WORK GREAT !! (Also I use March 22 version at the office PC#3 and it's working fine too...)
I install on PC#2 July version and using the same .SPF file, the work is complete and AVI video is running on the PC just fine, but on my DVD player, only sound is playing and the Running Time is not changing on my DVD Player.
What I notice using GSPOT from previous convert file with March 22 version
In the Userdata/Metadata I found this
[JUNK] MPlayer Junk Data (5x times)
and it's is not there from file convert in March 22 ver.
With March 22, using MEncoder Option to use DirectShow Decode is not available
with July Version on PC#2 it is ?!?
Also I notice SUPER doesn't seem to remember settings ? before it use to recall all previous settings when re-open application, saved folder for destination files... now it don't ??!?
.SPF File on both is:

PC#2 is 3-6 times faster, so if you think it's a problem on my side, where can I get March 22 version so I can install it on my new PC and use the old version !!
Thank You

I was right !! I uninstall July ver. Built 32 and re-install ver March Built 30 and now the same input file, with the same settings are now working fine on my DVD-DIVX player...
So by logical deduction, there's a bug in the new built 32 DIVX engine... since SUPER provide ALL his codec, it's not from a defect codec on my new PC (did I mentione that I re-install built 30 on the new PC!!
)

I wish I had been intelligent enough to save a copy of the previous version of SUPER.
Right now I cannot convert MP4 or WMV files in the 100-140 Mb range using the July version, Build 32. Conversion only goes part way before stopping.
On the other hand it is working ok with m4V and MOV files in the 40Mb range.

there is absolutely no difference in the speed engine between these versions.

I ment.... my new PC is 3-6 faster.... so encoding is way faster because CPU is faster...
For DHARTSOC go there, you will find older version of super
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER?ol … 1#download
By the way 96crypt_mod... instead of finding peeky stuff in the post, why not working a way to fix those issues-bug ??
If you read my 2nd post, by deduction, it's buld 32 that have a problem, not my settings....my new PC is brand new, fresh Windows XP install, no other codec, software or all that junk that can be install with time that can cause problems... and I prove my theory by uninstalling build 32, re-installing build 30 and now the DIVX file are running on an hardware DVD DIVX player....

I was able to dig up a copy of Build 30 and installed that after removing Build 32. For whatever reason it works better for me. I'm not at all sure it is a problem with Build 32. I could use more memory in my system and that could be the primary problem. But Build 30 in my case can handle the conversion of the 100-150MB MP4 and WMV video. Coverting to AVI container, XviD for the Insignia Pilot.

I just want to add my voice to Bizouman and dhartsoc's. I'm a huge advocate of SUPER but with this latest build (32) converting from FLV to MPG or VOB is no longer possible no matter how I play with the settings.
For my friend who's not online I have forever routinely downloaded FLV files from YouTube etc, and converted them straight to VOB (sometimes to MPG) using ffdshow and then burned them to a disk which she pops into her computer or DVD player and plays with no problem. Quick and disposable, I never worried much about the settings which I'd vary depending on the source material and whether she might keep them or not.
Now - with no particular pattern I can see - only about one out of four files gets converted, the rest go for about a minute and then either convert to an unreadable file or crash windows XP.
I thought maybe some misplaced DRM or something - Just to see if it was something in the source file, I made four copies of the same file, renamed them and tried it. The first one converted with no problem but the next one - identical - caused the program to freeze.
I have had no problems with SUPER on such a straightforward operation ever - and I've been using it as long as I can remember - so I downloaded it again and reinstalled twice thinking it was me. It's not.
I apologize for not recording the source codec or other information at the time. If I have another occasion to I will. Meantime, I thought this scanty information might contribute something to the above posts and trigger some idea about what's going on.
COMPLIMENTARY INVERSE ASIDE, to post some of my own video I tested various Flash Encoding programs - a couple of them unbelievably expensive - and I still preferred the speed and quality of the results I got with SUPER.
