It's me again and I'm still on a tiraid.

To avoid installing bad app's and malware, I never install anything w/o at least the vendor disclosing the file size.
I bitched about it weeks ago and at least erightsoft sort of got it right by finally disclosing the darned installer's (supposed) file size (on the download page).
But even though now their download (start) webpage says the version 32's file supposedly's either a 28MB or 26.84MB (that makes little to no sense).
My download's...
file 28.5 MB (29,961,271 bytes)
disk 28.5 MB (29,962,240 bytes)
MD5 89378D195DA826EC9C04DA4C996A0102
What gives?
Was insane just getting it to download (took me all day) as I kept getting
'speeds' of 18 kbps and the more that file seemed to download, the slower it got.
And it seemed to never want to finish as the download popup loading bar kept progressing, oddly the more time remaining increased.
I even waited once for the suspiciously acting download, some 15 mins before I canceled as remaining time was then 2+ hours.
Maybe that's just the bandwidth they afford. Suppose so, but after some dozen times (starting from around noon), I finally got a 2 to 3 min download to finish at some 300 kbps at about 6PM PST.
And ya know, my IE cache's clean, so's the rest of the machine (including hardware, cables, wired DSL modum, etc., etc.), plus DSL speed is 400-700 and 2800.
Just insane all around, but moreover it's erightsoft's continuing propensity to seemingly entertain themselves by serving up the product in what amounts to a divertware maze just to find SUPER's installer download link.
But then, I guess there's the twisted mantra of "if it's worth anything, it's got to be an effort."
I wonder if sending in $ stops that as well as provides a switch to axe the obnoxious auto-update (w/o requiring a firewall rule)?
I mean I'd send 'em something for such a great product, if only updates were easier and the update engine wasn't such an absolute pest.
