Streaming links

I have yet to successfully capture a stream from the internet by following the sparse instructions that are supplied.  This last time, I was informed that I don't have a network connection.  Obviously, I do, or I wouldn't be here.

This forum isn't really that useful, as it has no search capability that I've been able to find, so there's no simple way to find out if your question has already been asked.  Looking through all the posts isn't something many people are prepared to do.  Maybe that's why it doesn't seem to be visited that much.

I have said before, SUPER could be a good program if they just fixed all the annoying things about it.  Rewriting it from scratch is the way to go, and get rid of the irritating UI, the cryptic functioning, the lack of preview, no useful progress bar, no filesize calculator, etc. etc.  And the annoying way that SUPER inserts itself as the author of the clip, at least in the AVI container.  Did I mention that it's really s-l-o-w?  And it takes 99% of CPU while running and nothing you can do about it.

I also wonder why eright are so anxious to give SUPER away, since it's free.

Every time I use SUPER I remember that last time I said "Never again!", but sometimes it's the only thing that can do the job.
