Your file is an MKV[H.264, AAC] and your settings show MP4[H.264, AAC], this won't play on any DVD.
you neeed to select vob DVD Compliant as output container

your input folder and input file name may contain unsupported characters.
rename your file to 754D61DF.mkv and use a siple folder name like video

Re: problem with MKV convertions

first of all, thank you for your help.
now, I've encountered 2 problems:
1)the conversion didn't convert the whole file. it got "stuck" at some point (about 80 MB) and then just ended the conversion.
2) The part that got converted ended up in poor quality, with green lines all over it and audio problems.
I know i have all the codecs, yet I don't know what is the problem (I do have a problem with MKV files, and i think conversion would help this).

Re: problem with MKV convertions

With the vob DVD Compliant Output Container, uncheck DirectShow Decode and
select FFmpeg  instead of MEncoder
