Word and auto-fill -- how to turn it off

I want to turn this off ( auto-fill ) . I want to delete that info. I had misspelled "university" and I'm sending out resumes and some of them I used the autofill feature and I look like a fool having attended a "UNIVERSTIY"!!!!!!!

I will be eternally grateful to anyone with an answer!

Re: Word and auto-fill -- how to turn it off

Hi,

It would have been more helpful to understand ur problem had u explained in more detail.

But from what I have understood, I think you should try this
Go to
1. Tools
2. Auto Correct Options
3. Auto Text  (Tab).

You will be able to locate the misspelled text but you will not be able to edit it. So the solution for this would be deleting the misspelled one and adding the correct one.

But if you are wanting to turn it off so that you don't get any suggestion from word then simply UNCHECK "Show AutoComplete tip for AutoText and dates".

Let me know if this is what you wanted.

Thanks
Sachin
