error pncrt.dll not found

I keep getting an error "mencoder.exe  --  The application has failed to start because pncrt.dll was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I have uninstalled and re-installed several times and still get this error.

Any suggestions?

Re: error pncrt.dll not found

pncrt.dll is the Real Networks C/C++ Runtime Library
This file is NOT part of the SUPER(C) installation package, it comes
usually with the RealMediaPlayer installation package.

1.Install RealMediaPlayer on your PC or
2.uncheck "Use DirectShow" when you encode RM/RMVB files

You are asking SUPER(C) to use your PC DirectShow resources
to decode RM/RMVB files but you don't have any RealMedia
DX ActiveX filters installed on your PC.

Re: error pncrt.dll not found

As MEncoder is NOT written by eRightSoft, we do not have complete details about
the specific reason of this generic error.
In all cases, it is related to damaged/missing/unregistered DirectShow ActiveX filter on your PC.
or simply a non supported codec in your input source file. (the video or the audio codec)

Also, as you may notice, you give us sort of quizz and you would like us to find a solution.
For instance, in your 1st post, you never mentioned anything about encoding RM/RMVB or even checking "Use DirtectShow".
Please read the 1st sticky post and provide All, Absolutely All details, so we could "try" to find a solution without "squeezing" our brain (till the last drop)

Cheers
