Running SUPER downgrades my newest AC3 Filter!

Hello.

Over the past few weeks, I noticed my K-Lite Codec Full Pack (latest versions; from http://www.codecguide.com/ )'s AC3 Filter keep going back to v1.09a. Just now, I found out what caused it: SUPER! Once in a while, I use SUPER 2007 b22 (3/14/2007). Every time I run this program, it keeps downgrading my AC3 Filter.

I have to reinstall K-Lite Codec to fix the problem. Of course, rerunning SUPER will revert the version. It is annoying. Why is SUPER downgrading my AC3 Filter version back to v1.09a? How can I prevent this?

Thank you in advance. smiley-smile

Thank you! That worked. Will future versions still have this problem or will you be tweaking your program to avoid this if user has a newer version of AC3 Filter installed?

Thank you in advance. smiley-smile

Hi there. How come this was not fixed in b23 (7/4/2007) release? It is a very annoying bug. Please kindly fix it! smiley-smile

Re: Running SUPER downgrades my newest AC3 Filter!

I had a simular problem with Super C. Windows Media Player 9 stoped playing MP4 vids as soon as Super was installed. I suspected that the MPEG Audio Decoder was being disabled some how so I used the advice of 96crypt_mod and changed the ac3DX.ax file to Xac3DX.ax and my Media Player problems were solved! smiley-smile This could have been because the AC3 filter was not right for playing MP4s in this application.

Re: Running SUPER downgrades my newest AC3 Filter!

I have the same problem with Super 2008 build 32. It replaces my AC3 and CoreAVC codecs with older versions. I can fix this only reinstalling K-Lite. Is it a bug of Super or is it anything else ? And how to fix it ?

Re: Running SUPER downgrades my newest AC3 Filter!

Hey, I'm having the same issues with the newest version of SUPER and the newest version of coreAVC.  coreAVC is critical to getting a nice dvb-t ts h.264 file recorded but as soon as i open super to encode the stream it overwrites my new coreAVC with an old version which isn't any good for what I'm doing.  SUPER itself works very nice, but then if i go back to record a new stream, the older coreAVC kicks in and crashes.  Please help!!!!

I'm using CoreAVC Professional Edition 1.7.0.0
The version that Super downgrades to is 0.0.4 smiley-eeksmiley-wacko
