<description>Topic: change DVD aspect ratio from 4:3 to 221:100

Message: Same issue here when converting AVIs to VOB...16:9 is not quite it and VLC's 221:100 is so close to correct that the difference is almost unnoticeable. The ability to custom set the aspect ratio when converting to VOB would help. :worthy:

Message: hiwhen i first installed super it was working quite efficiently but then it asked for update one day and i did it. after the updated version was installed super started showing errors while converting formats and then i tried to install the older version but after installation the older version super application doesn't start i.e after clicking it doesn't run. i dont know y the older version is not running even after its successful installation. but when i install latest latest version the application runs but it shows error. the problem is that latest versions runs but shows error while converting and the older version does not run after running the .exe file.

<description>Topic: New ( Volume = +6 DB ) Feature, Is Clipping, Distorting Audio Tracks.

Message: I updated to v.2008 build .30 last Tuesday and all the files I converted since then have been loud &#38; distorted.&#160; I think automatically punching up the volume like that probably works great for converting full length DVD movies is great, but if you're converting something like a music video, which is already very loud, that extra volume just distorts the sound of the output file.Is there anyway manually to turn this feature off or adjust it ( to say: Volume +0 DB or 2 DB or -6 DB )?If not, maybe an new feature idea for the next go around?&#160; Manually adjustable output volume control.

corrrect, WMSpeech won't encode but all others should encode flawlessly..
Academician wrote:I then tried MEncoder and DX50 and they all converted! Quality wasn't very good though.
With the DX50, you may try increasing the Video Bitrate from 1008 Kbps to 3600 Kbpskeep the VideoScaleSize on NoChange and encode.

<description>Topic: Latest version of SUPER fails to recognise XP after SP3

Message: Hi again! Not my day is it? I'm sorry, I was distracted and did of course mean they were WMV files - Sorry...!I tried FFmpeg, but none would convert, all saying &#34;error&#34;. I then tried MEncoder and DX50 and they all converted! Quality wasn't very good though. I tried changing to something that might offer better quality, by being almost completely uncompressed.I found some setting that are offering almost VHS quality - Amazing considering the small size and high compression they had orignally come in.I used the output settings of:AVI - DV - WAV-PCM16 (little-endian)MEncoderVideo scale was 720x576 and 25fpsThis is because I'm in the UK and usually work in 25 fps though.Thank you again for all of your help, there's no way I would have got this far without your help. SUPER really lives up to it's name, it just need kind people like you, to help!Best wishes,Tony

<description>Topic: Latest version of SUPER fails to recognise XP after SP3

Message: Academician wrote:...... how to convert .flv (WMV3) to .avi, while keeping the best quality please
a simple clarification: FLV container/format can only use flv or vp6 as video codecsthe wmv3 video codec cannot be used (AFAIK) inside an FLV container. Both files you provided are in WMV container (not FLV), to encode to avi:Select avi Output ContainerSelect DivX Output Video CodecSelect mp3 Output Audio CodecSelect VideoScaleSize NoChangeUncheck &#34;DirectShow Decode&#34;Leave all rest to defaultyou may try MEncoder or FFmpeg to find which gives you better results.Hit encodeyour file using the WMSpeech audio codec will not encode correctly..
