I downloaded an unencrypted Real Audio file from the BBC site and have used SUPER build 32 to convert it to MP3 in order to listen to it on my ipod nano 2G.

The MP3 file was created  at 128k with two channels.

I have a Dell latitude laptop running XP (service pack II) with 1Gig RAM.

The file appears to play perfectly, except that every few minutes the sound is badly distorted for about 5 seconds, a kind of warbling which then corrects and plays normally
for a few more minutes.

Any ideas of hhow I might correct this?

It is so annoying as it is so close to being perfect
