MP4 to 3gp

SUPER(C) always errors whenever I try to decode an MP4 to 3gp for use on my cell phone, and only has problems with MP4's.  I went through the FAQ, and it says to force a specific screen size, but that option is not available in my DirectShow options.  At first I thought it was just because I was using H.263 Output, but it doesn't matter *what* codec I select, it does not allow resizing.

I also thought I may have an old version, but update says I have the latest March 22 Build

The most common possible reasons causing errors:

If the "DirectShow Decode" is checked, SUPER (C) was not able
to find/open any corresponding DirectShow ActiveX filter to
decode your input file.  You May Try (if possible) to Uncheck
the "DirectShow Decode" switch.

Some formats/codecs (ASF, WMV, Zune etc...) do not allow
input files with illegal pixel size where the height or width
ar not divisible by 16.

Your Input source file may not be a valid multimedia clip
due to a damaged header, corrupted/segmented data or
truncated file.  Your input file may have unsupported
codecs.  Verify the Structure and the used codecs of
your input file by double clicking it, the Media Analysis Box
opens to display codecs infos and other internal data.

The Encoding process might be sometimes interrupted due
to low disk space, slow PC, RAM Drainage, CPU Overload
or a simple user manual interruption.  Try Again

I went through the FAQ, and it says to force a specific screen size, but that option is not available in my DirectShow options.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to force a screen size when I recode it, as it says to do in the FAQ.  The problem is, the option is not available, and the DirectShow Options window is not as it looks like in the FAQ Picture.

Re: MP4 to 3gp

let me give you a very clear and straight forward answer.
if the height ot width of your input source file are not modulo 16 (fully divisible by 16)
the used ffmpeg or MEncoder will crash and fail.
it has nothing to do with DirectShow, or screen size or H263...

it is your input file using illegal height and width value.

Re: MP4 to 3gp

Then there is no method whatsoever of re encoding this or any other MP4 file?
