I've read the FAQ and I've tried countless settings but I can't convert my avi file which is 624 x 352 pixels into any size, let alone the original! All I want to do is convert it to wmv or mpg, preferably with its original dimensions but I'm not married to the idea. The problem is no matter what, I get this message.
I realize my original file is not divisible by 16 and I have to choose a pre-defined scale. I've already done that ad nauseum but I still get that message. I read in the FAQ that I can use DirectShow Decode to not only add a watermark but choose a customized video scale size. That didn't work for me either.
I have selected 320 x 240 but it never works nor do any other ones. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1)either select mp3 audio codec instead of wma
2)or fix the Microsoft WMV parser on your PC
http://www.w3exchange.com/p4261-2007-06 … html#p4261
3) or encode to any other container like mpg (Mpeg I) or any..

Thanks for the help. I successfully converted the file to mpg with the original dimensions.
I still have one issue. Although I do manage to convert to wmv using Direct Show Decode with my original dimensions, the quality is so poor that the file isn't usable. However, when I tried it with a file of regular dimensions (divisible by 16), everything is fine.
