Hello I am trying to convert video captured and edited by Matrox Rainbow Runner and Premiere Pro 6.
Acccording to GSPOT the video is coded as follows
CODEC MMES
Matrox Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame
[ISFT] Matrox MQSink Filter For MPEG. Format: 4. Build: 2.0.0.269
It plays with blocky bits invading from both sides of the screen.
I woulod like to convert it to an AVI file suitable for Premiere Elements 4

this AVI file uses the MPEG-II video codec with no audio.
depending on your Adobe Premiere installed plugins, you need to select a video
codec to repalce the MPEG-II
try an AVI with DIVX, MPEG-4 or DV
disable the audio.

if you can play this 34 sec file on SUPER(C), then it isn't faulty,
and if you can even play the rendered file on SUPER(C), then definitely
everything is fine.
make sure that you have appropriate plugins installed with your Adobe Premiere.
you may try to find a file, just any file, that could be imported and played by your Adobe Premiere.
drop it in SUPER(C), double click on it to read results of the MediaAnalysis box
then convert your Matrox Rainbow Runner files into the same container and using
the same codecs as in those found in the working file.

Just to clear up where I am now.
I am now using Premiere elements 4
I do not have Premiere Pro 6 in action any longer.
I no longer have the Rainbow Runner Card in this machine.
All thse files will play in SUPER@ without an error message but they have blocks of interference which look as if they were derived from the frame itself.
These blocks seem to be about 20- 40 pixels in height. Th blocks flash on and off in different parts of the frame but they seem to appear in the same palce eeach time I play them.
I have now listed the format of a normal premier file as you suggest and have rtied it once without success but I will try again some time in the near future
