After I installed the latest build of Super this morning, every time I start Super, It freezes before it even appears and I get a blue screen that says something about a memory dump.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and it still keeps doing the same thing. I even tried installing an earlier build but the earlier versions don't do anything, I click on the .exe file, the loading mouse icon appears but nothing ever starts.
Is there a possible workaround for this problem or a patch or something?
I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, If there is any other information need, just ask and i'll give it to you.

I found out how to fix the blue screen issue.
1. Install Super (Build 30)
2. Restart Computer
3. Set all files to be compatible with WinXP SP2 (Including Shortcuts)
4. Uninstall Super (Build 30)
5. Restart Computer
6. Install Super (build 30) again
7. Restart Computer
8. Go to C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER and open Super.exe by right clicking and choosing "Run As Administrator"
9. Close Super and use a shortcut of Super by just double clicking on it
10. Super works again with no crashes.
This is exactly what I did and now it works.

Same problem with me. Restart of Vista (without SP1) at the end of Installation. Starting the file SUPER.exe does nothing. Changing the compatibility mode to WIN XP SP2 doesn´t help. Older build of SUPER is no problem.

I decided to sign up to this board simply to give my input on this problem as it has happened to me as well and I am quite frustrated at the
behavior.
What has happened thus far;
I installed Super like normal for the first time on my VistaHP64bit machine, install went fine right up until it automatically started the
program for the first time, BSOD.
Restarted into safe mode, uninstalled super and restarted once again back in to normal mode.
Few hours later I decided to try my luck once more and installed Super with no errors at all, opting to not have Super automatically load at the
end of installation I manually started it after it was done installing. But, nothing happened when I double clicked the .exe icon.
It would show like it was loading (the circular loading icon in vista) but stopped after a second or two with no apparent difference. Opened up
task manager to see what was happening when I was 'dc' on the icon and it showed the 'super' process popping up and then disappearing after a
second or two.
Uninstalled and reinstalled many times with no change. However now when I try to install it gives me a few different errors;
C:\Windows\system32\DiracSplitter.ax
C:\Windows\system32\flvDX.dll
C:\Windows\system32\MatroskaDX.ax
C:\Windows\system32\RealMediaDX.ax
This file cannot be installed; it may be in use.
Please close all other applications, then click Retry.
Alternatively, click Cancel to skip this file and install it later. This will require a system restart.
(side note it gave an individual error for each of the above files, but they all said the same thing, minus the difference in filename, hence the amalgamation of the error reports)
No matter how many programs I close those files always fail to install so I am forced to restart each time I install Super. I have attempted to Run as Admin with no change.
I will go through your step by step debugging options in a bit, but I just wanted to get this post up asap.
Thanks!

I have the same problem with Vista premium and SP1. After Installing SUPER vers. 30 i had a blue screen. I will try the solution:
1. Install Super (Build 30)
2. Restart Computer
3. Set all files to be compatible with WinXP SP2 (Including Shortcuts)
4. Uninstall Super (Build 30)
5. Restart Computer
6. Install Super (build 30) again
7. Restart Computer
8. Go to C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER and open Super.exe by right clicking and choosing "Run As Administrator"
9. Close Super and use a shortcut of Super by just double clicking on it
10. Super works again with no crashes.
One question concerning this solution: In step 3 it is said: "Set all files..."
Am i right that only super files (in respective folders like "C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER") are meant??
I really hope to get SUPER running again since i liked to use it daily

I got to this thread after having the exact same problem as many of us there. Since morning, I have tried all the options described in this thread and elsewhere in this forum, but to no avail! The moment I try to start SUPER.exe - whether as administrator, or as a user, whether in the XP SP2 compatibility mode or not, I get a BSOD on my Vista Home Premium SP1 machine.
I did install the build 30 successfully (from the SUPER website), and my minidump after the crash looks pretty much the same as that of others who have posted theirs here. For some of you, it starts up before the crash, right? Mine does not start up at all.
The funny thing is that I am running SUPER successfully in two other computers of mine with XP SP2 with NO problem whatsoever. But the moment I try to run it on my Vista machine, wham!! The BSOD strikes... without fail!!
It is a great little program, and I enjoy using it. I just wish the makers are able to reproduce this problem on their machine and solve it. If it helps any, my Vista machine is a Sony Viao laptop, 250GB HDD, 2GB RAM, Core2Duo 2GHz.
Oh, I just remembered: When I first ran SUPER build 30 on this machine in March, it had given me the 'not meeting minimum requirement' message. I was surprised to find that the info page was showing up only one half of the CPU. Is there a problem of SUPER not recognizing dual core CPUs correctly? Thereafter, it has been only the BSOD when I attempt to run the program.
Anyway, I am going to download the fresh file that 96crypt_Mod indicated, and cross my fingers.
